The Conflict Resolution Style Assessment helps identify an individual’s typical approach when facing disagreements or disputes with others. Understanding conflict resolution styles allows us to improve how we handle conflict situations. This assessment covers 5 common styles – Avoidance, Accommodation, Competition, Compromise, and Collaboration.

For each of the 5 categories, there are 5 questions with 4 possible answer choices. Select the choice that best reflects your natural tendencies when confronting conflict.

Once complete, use the scoring guide to determine your dominant conflict resolution style(s) based on your total score in each category. These insights can help you understand the benefits and downsides of your natural style and determine when to flex to other approaches as needed. With self-awareness comes the power to handle conflict in a more constructive way.
